WEEK THREE: Wednesday

 

Miss Robin wears the Fauci-Ouchi mask and her awesome t-shirt today at Drama club!

Today at Drama Club we worked with Superheroes and Supervillains!

Hope plays a Superhero named Spikey. Her arch-nemesis is Miss Deb. She has SUPERVISION and her superweapon is glasses.

Siomara was her sidekick. I didn't catch the name or the superpowers, but there seems to have been a tiger purse involved. And a knife...

Emmaline plays a Supervillain named Weber. She was kidnapped by a spider and now there is venom in her brain. She has spider instincts. She has been in a long war with her arch-nemesis, Magnet Girl! her weapon of mass destruction is a bionic spider arm, in somehow contains melted spider brains and holds a gem at its center. She can stook webs (or venom?) through her fingertips!

Genevieve plays a Supervillain named Demon. She is a shapeshifting cat with mostly invisible wings (unless she needs them). She can change sizes and wears the crown of Eden on her head. Her arch-nemesis is Spikey. Her superweapon is unknown. 

Tori plays a Supervillian named Black Paw and is the partner of Demon. She is a cat with a really light tail and the darker part of her tail has other secret powers. They ride together. Black Paw's arch-nemesis is Rainbow Corn. And her super-power is the death-touch delivered by her superweapon, her paws. 

Risa plays Magnet Girl. She is a Superhero. Her pony is called Flower. Her super-weapon is a super-watch and a pair of earrings (she uses those to call Flower whenever needed). Her hands are magnetized due to a bad splinter incident. Her Mom had to remove too much of her hand and iron pieces were needed to fix it. That's how her hands became magnetized

Ainsley is a Superhero called Super Star! Her arch-nemesis is Destroyus Leah. She can transform. Her superpower is water. She cures fire and her super-weapon is not known. 

Maya plays The Singing Sourceress. She is a Superhero. her arch-nemesis is both Spikey and Demon. her superpower is calming people with her song. She has no apparent super-weapon other than her voice.

Noel plays the Chancellor. She is a Supervillain. Her superpower is fate and family. She grants second chances but bends them to her own best interest. Her super-weapon is a ring. Arch-nemesis, unknown. 

Zev is a supervillain named Kyomi. Her super-weapon is a Katana. All other details are unknown. 

Today we warmed up before lunch. Miss Jess chose Tori to lead vocal warm-ups and Genevieve to lead warm-up games. Then we journaled the idea of our Superhero or Supervillain. We also sketched out the prototype of our superweapon (this turned into an all-out costume design workshop). After lunch, the sewing machine and fabric came out. We worked all afternoon crafting our own designs! 

As you can probably see by now, we ended up making our own costumes. And we ended the day with a costume parade. Emmaline and Risa won best costumes and got to take home their own sewing kits!

Tomorrow we go to the museum where we will get to study the biographies of some great women and become inspired by their journey!

We'll meet at Drama Club again on Friday where our lunch will be catered by Maiwand Kabab in Fulton Maryland. They'll be providing us with Kabobs and Falafel and maybe some rice and salad too! (no nuts in their kitchen at all).

Miss Paula is always jumping in to save the day.
