WEEK TWO: Thursday
Before Drama Club started today we talked with Miss Paula about the value of things. And then we painted our portrait!
Today in Drama Club we reviewed our week. Maya led us in a vocal warm-up. And Hope let the warm-up games today.
We learned what a prop is today. It’s anything an actor can hold in her hand or could possibly pick up off of the set. We were presented with a badminton birdie prop and made up stories about it. We even told a one-word-at-a-time story about it around the circle and it ended up having a really long name
Miss Jess brought us Ledo Pizza! THANK YOU LEDO’S! It was so good and we ate it so fast, there’s almost no record of it.
After lunch, we had some unstructured playtime. There was chalk and play-doh and jump ropes and hoola hoops and badminton and volleyball and a parachute and a sprinkler and...and...and..We really enjoyed one another's company and shared ideas and stories. We made pretend food out of the play-doh and served it up. We invented a game where we gathered under the parachute and slowly moved into the sprinkler. It was fun getting the parachute wet and Miss Deb said it was due for a cleaning anyway.
We came inside and dried off. And then we were informed that we would end Drama Club today with a TALENT SHOW!!! Moria was very helpful and we put together two three-person acts and three solos!! It was a great way to end the day.
Miss Carol and Miss Paula were our VIP audience today. Risa sang, "The Sun Will Come Out Tomorrow" which is Miss Carol's favorite song. And Maya sang, "I Will Always Love You" which made Miss Paula think of Whitney Houston her favorite artist. All of the performances were AWESOME!!
One of the group acts was Hallelujah and the other one was a dance (it was facing sideways so we didn't get a clip of that).
Tomorrow we ride! (horses that is). CAN'T WAIT!!!

I love following these young ladies as they discover their talents and their confidence!
